My work is a praise to my ancestors, many of whom, after the Yorùbá philosophical concepts, can achieve to live by the Creators of every existence. In their former human condition these beings were in charge of transmitting, taking care and propagating the wide current of knowledge that opened the mind of various generations of Cubans to the spiritual wealth of Ifá and the adoration of the Òrìsà.

It is also a praise to the men, women and children who arrived to our Island from different lands of Africa. Under the terrible condition of Slaves, they brought their culture, the adoration of their gods, the thought, the philosophy, the poetic body of their oracles, the fundamental metaphysic strength that resides in their ceremonial rites, the way of conceiving Life and the World, out of their cosmology, their customs, dances and music. All this, together with their Creole descendants “black, white, mix race, all mixed up”, are just a part of our brief but profound nationality. Spirits that coexist with the first energies that feed us and which only purpose is to conduct us to a double spiritual path: from and to the fountain of Life. Ancestors who deserve deference, just as those who were compromised with Creation at the beginnings of times.
